During the Residencies the artists jointly work to the production of a major international performance, that is site-specific and focuses on some texts (“The Pain”, “The Lover”, “The Malady of Death”) of the great writer Marguerite Duras, a strong female voice still so alive, claiming for freedom in all the expressions of life. The multicultural co-production is based on women voices, multiculturalism, intercultural ecology.
NAT aims to favor performing arts artists and operators’ capacity-building, developing artistic methodologies that integrate intercultural eco-sustainable practices, site-specific artistic interventions, augmented and virtual reality experimentations, in relation with the communities in their intercultural dimension.
Main activities are:
– Xtended Theatre, a meeting activity between digital experts and artists on innovation and technologies in the field of performing arts, especially on augmented reality and theatre;
– Theatre Ecology Eco-Arts Labs directed by the Artistic Director in Italy, Romania, Cyprus and Georgia addressed to professional actresses and actors from all over Europe, pre-selected through an international call;
– International Eco-arts Residencies in Cyprus, Romania and Italy, with many ecological and intercultural activities with local communities, international artists and local artists:
Eco-Arts Residency “Of Water and Wine”, in Kalopanagiotis (Cyprus) in May 2025;
Eco-Arts Residency “The Other is me”, in Sfântu Gheorghe (Romania) in June 2025;
Eco-Arts Residency “Nature is us”, in Lecce (Italy) in September 2025.
